Why dont you:
"Get a hobby, job, workout routine, class, etc. I think when I have too much free time, that's definitely the biggest times a cave in. My thoughts always go to porn and all that. But when im busy, I really dont have a problem with it."

"I would get a hobby you have too much time on your hands it sounds like and when one has to much time on their hands that is dangerous. I agree with mint."

"I agree with LIBERATION. Find something productive to do that gets you out of the rut of thinking about what you need and want."

"maybe I didn't mean what I said...I feel my life is very busy. I'm a mom, wife, etc....I was super stressed out last night so maybe "bored" wasn't really the word, more like I get sick of daily stresses in life....Thanks for your comments. I wish I had free alone time but hard when your a mom and wife and are very needed by so many...;) BUT I'm grateful to have this chance also. Yes @ Mint-exercise is very important! I do work out and love it."

"Oh Marie!
I empathize!

That ugly rut. Sometimes I feel like I am in some kind of funk that I can't shake. It is often when life is busy and yet the drudgery and the stressful weight of it is so awful.

In one of those moments, a very wise man once told me, "When you find yourself in a funk....that is when you need to find something in your life that you can put on the altar of sacrifice for Heavenly Father."

That one single piece of advice ended up changing so much in my life. I think what it can turn into is very personal for each individual. Perhaps it is a hobby or exercise. Maybe it is giving up caffeine or something tangible, or maybe it isn't giving something up at all!...maybe it is taking on something more in your life.

Regardless, now when I feel in a rut....I ask the Lord what I can sacrifice for Him....and then do it. It has never failed.

"Nothing is beyond [Christ’s] redeeming reach or His encircling empathy. Therefore, we should not complain about our own life’s not being a rose garden when we remember who wore the crown of thorns! Having bled at every pore, how red His raiment must have been in Gethsemane, how crimson that cloak! No wonder, when Christ comes in power and glory, that He will come in reminding red attire, signifying not only the winepress of wrath, but also to bring to our remembrance how He suffered for each of us in Gethsemane and on Calvary!"
