The Journey Continues

Today was the last day of outpatient treatment. It was an uplifting experience. I am grateful for the support of the group and the positive energy that came from it. The challenge continues as I must apply what I've learned to my everyday living. I cannot fall into old habits; I cannot rationalize that I can return to that lifestyle and be happy. I cannot fail myself. The power to change lies and comes from within. The journey continues. Today, I will not drink. When tomorrow comes, I will deal with that.

Now the work continues with building my support mechanisms and realizing that I am NOT alone. There are people who love me and care for me. There are people I love and care about. Positive thoughts and positive change.

"Hello again

There are many that have been down the path you are taking. You are not alone. May God bless you as you work through recovery. Please know there are many reading your posts, praying for you, and learning from your words.

"My brethren who are caught in this addiction or troubled by this temptation, there is a way. Don’t accommodate any degree of temptation. Prevent sin and avoid having to deal with its inevitable destruction. So, turn it off! Look away! Avoid it at all costs. Direct your thoughts in wholesome paths. Please heed these warnings. Let us all improve our personal behavior and redouble our efforts to protect our loved ones and our environment from the onslaught of ography that threatens our spirituality, our marriages, and our children.
